Red Shoe Diaries - Part 1

You didn't ask me, but I've recently joined the ever-growing group of people who are convinced that we can't afford to have an inexperienced person anywhere near the White House.

So it came as no real surprise to me that Sarah Fey Palin doesn't have the slightest idea what the constitutional duties of a modern-day Vice President are.

In fact, her lack of understanding and comprehending the job is beyond shocking, even for the low intellectual bar she sets for herself.

Palin did an interview yesterday with
KUSA, an NBC affiliate in Colorado. In response to a question sent to the network by a third grader at a local elementary school about what the Vice President does, Palin erroneously argued that the Vice President is “in charge of the United States Senate!"

PALIN: That’s something that Piper would ask me! …
[T]hey’re in charge of the U.S. Senate so if they want to they can really get in there with the senators and make a lot of good policy changes that will make life better for Brandon and his family and his classroom.

Oh, God, there she goes getting all wrong and mavericky again.

Read about the real duties of a VP vis-a-vis the Senate on Think Progress and watch the interview

Me? I think I'm going to start praying again.
