You didn't ask me, but I think the world has turned a blind eye to Israel's retaliatory overkill.I know Hamas is a unrepentant terrorist organization and I know that a few lunatics continue to pursue a destructive and counterproductive campaign against Israel.
But Israel's response is outright horrific overkill.
Israel dropped 100 tons of bombs on the Gaza Strip on Dec 27th - on an area roughly twice the size of Washington, D.C. It is one of the most densely populated territories on earth, with about 1.5 million residents.
Hundreds were killed and hundreds more were injured, including innocent civilians.
As of today, over 300 Palestinians have been killed and over 1,400 wounded as Israel prepares to once again invade and occupy this territory.
Whatever your politics and feelings may be, reasonable people can agree on one thing - this is simply overkill. It's David vs. Goliath in reverse.
The world's democratic leaders must call on Israel and Hamas to end this insanity. Now!
Before more innocent lives are taken.
