You didn't ask me, but the selection of Mega-Minister Rick Warren to deliver the invocation at Obama's inauguration is an arrow to the heart of all progressive Americans who believe in basic human rights.
Rick Warren's constant war on abortion rights and gay rights make him the most inappropriate person to "pray" at an inauguration in the history of the Republic.
Rick Warren mouths that he wants to “restore civility in our civil discourse” all the while waging war against women and gay Americans.
He proactively spends millions trying to take away the inherent right of women to make their own moral decision about whether or not to have a child, and he proactively campaigns against people trying to express their love for each other through traditional marriage.
Rick Warren is part of the problem, not the solution!
Rick Warren is a Mega-Millionaire money-grubbing hypocrite who paints himself as the "new evangelical" while concealing his hate for women's rights and gay rights beneath the mask of his new found "caring conservatism."
While engaging in hateful behavior on one hand he now calls on Christians to expand their agenda and confront global problems like poverty, AIDS, climate change and genocide in Darfur.
Bullshit! Rick Warren is still Rick Warren.
Shame on you Mr Obama for turning your back on the millions of progressives in this country who put you in this office and who hold Mr Warren and his beliefs anathema.
