"There Is No Humanitarian Crisis" - Bullshit!

You didn't ask me, but i used to work for Amnesty International.

So, I was pleased to see AI issue a statement slamming the U.S. for it's "lopsided response to the recent violence and it's lackadaisical efforts to ameliorate the humanitarian crisis in Gaza."

Amnesty further urged he U.S. to suspend weapon deliveries to Israel.

"
The United States must suspend the transfer of weapons to Israel immediately and conduct an investigation into whether US weapons were used to commit human rights abuses," said Amnesty.

I was outraged when I read that
Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni rebuffed a French-proposed ceasefire in the Gaza Strip saying 'there is no humanitarian crisis in the Strip'.

No humanitarian crisis? What is she blind?

According to the International Herald Tribune ..
.
"Doctors here have been battling for more than a week to keep the hospital running under the most adverse circumstances. Sanitation workers constantly go round mopping up blood while Hamas security officers maintain order. But the scant resources are being stretched to the breaking point, and a terrible stench permeates the air.

"Dr. Mads Gilbert, a Norwegian physician who was allowed into Gaza last week to give emergency medical aid, and who has worked in many conflict zones, said the situation was the worst he had seen.

"The hospital lacked everything, he said - monitors, anesthesia, surgical equipment, heaters and spare parts. The windows were blown out in an Israeli bombing nearby, and like the rest of Gaza, the severely limited fuel supplies were running out.

Still, Oved Yehezkel, the Israeli cabinet secretary, said Sunday that from the information at Israel's disposal, 'there is no humanitarian crisis in Gaza.' "

Another blind person.

Israel's invasion of Gaza is creating a humanitarian disaster, and their denials of such a crisis is shameful.

Israel's invasion of Gaza is a sign of a country under weak leadership. A leadership that is hard-lined as ever and bent on the total annihilation of Hamas - no matter the cost.

And the only thing worst than Israel's weak leadership is the weak leadership of the rest of the free world - who are seemingly impotent in calling for Israel to stop the bloodletting.

This entire overkill response by Israel is a disgrace.

My heart aches for the Palestinian people.
